Lady Cougars Win Forerunner Classic; Boys Post Season PRs

The Columbia Academy cross country teams traveled to Hattiesburg yesterday to compete in the Forerunner Classic, and the Lady Cougars turned in a standout performance, winning first place out of 18 teams.

Three Lady Cougars finished in the top ten overall. Ava Hamilton led the way with a first-place finish, followed by Kortlyn Bracey in third and Selia Kilpatrick in tenth. Their strong showing at the front of the pack helped power the team to the overall title.

On the boys' side, Columbia Academy did not have enough runners to field a full team score, but all four boys who competed set new season personal records. It was an encouraging step forward for the squad as the season continues.
