Dear Patrons,
I hope you are off to a great start to your summer. With the Cougar Store pre-order going on right now, I wanted to inform you of the updated uniform policy for the 2024-2025 school year.
Students may only wear t-shirts purchased from the Cougar Store or any organization from the school in support of sports teams, activities, class t-shirts, prom shirts, etc. MAIS gear is also allowed. Shirts produced by individuals or purchased via another source are not to be worn during regular school hours. Spirit wear must meet all dress code requirements in length, coverage, and adhere to the Columbia Academy brand in regard to logos.
Students still have the option to wear orange, royal blue or white polos.
The same policy will apply to outerwear (sweatshirts, hoodies, and jackets). Outerwear must be purchased from an organization on campus promoting Columbia Academy or it must be solid orange, royal blue, white, or gray. Solid outer garments not purchased through Columbia Academy should not display colors or logos larger than one inch square that do not conform to the formal CA Brand. (Example: A gray Cougar baseball sweatshirt is allowed, while a gray “Ole Miss” sweatshirt is not.)
Spirit wear previously purchased from the Cougar Store or an on campus organization will be allowed, but must contain the new cougar head logo only, any other cougar moving forward will not be allowed.
The official guidelines and rules will be presented in more detail when the 2024-2025 handbook is released, but I wanted you to have a short rundown of the new changes before you begin purchasing uniform items for the new school year.
